How to exfoliate your skin with natural ingredients

Do you notice that your skin no longer absorbs well the creams and products that you apply to it and you have clogged pores?

Maybe you need to exfoliate it!

In this post we will tell you what it is, its benefits and how to do it properly according to your skin type.

What is exfoliation?

Broadly speaking, it is a process in which the skin of your face cleanses all the accumulated dead cells in such a way that regeneration is activated, impurities are eliminated and the appearance of your skin, which can be affected by acne, is improved. pollution and sun.

It has many benefits, to begin with, your face will look more radiant and smooth , it also prevents excessive sebum production, prevents the appearance of shine and complements facial treatments and moisturizing creams very well, because the active ingredients are better absorbed.

In addition, exfoliation supports the microcirculation of blood in your face, which allows accumulated fluids to drain and control swelling.

It is recommended to exfoliate the skin once a week, however, the frequency depends on your skin type. For dry skin , exfoliation a week is necessary; for oily skin, twice is enough to clean it and for sensitive skin , once every fortnight.

To exfoliate your face you do not need expensive lotions, because in your home you have some ingredients with which you can start your beauty routine. We share three homemade scrubs to pamper your complexion.

  1. Honey and almond scrub

Honey is a natural moisturizer with great sanitizing properties, it helps to clean dead cells and toxins from the skin, making it the perfect ingredient to create your own exfoliant. To start, mix a tablespoon of honey with two well-ground almonds and a little water.

Gently apply to your face, let it act for 15 minutes and remove with water afterwards.

  1. Sugar and Oil Scrub

Sugar is an inexpensive and effective exfoliant, it is important that it be of a fine grain so as not to hurt our faces.

It can be mixed with a moisturizing oil such as olive or coconut. You will need two tablespoons of sugar and one of olive or coconut oil. Combine the ingredients until you create a grainy paste. You should apply it on your clean skin and gently massage in circular and upward movements.

Remove the scrub with a towel and wash your face as usual.

  1. coffee and oil scrub

Coffee activates blood circulation and prevents the generation of fat deposits under the skin. In addition, this ingredient is used to exfoliate your entire body.

For the preparation, only half a cup of ground coffee and two tablespoons of olive or almond oil are required. If you don't have oil, you can replace it with a moisturizer that you like.

It is recommended to have a wet face before application, perform circular massages, let it act for 10 or 15 minutes and remove it with cold water to close the pores.
