Introduction to Ayurveda medicine
Have you heard about Ayurveda medicine? What does it consist of? What are its benefits? In this post we tell you!
Ayurveda is a current of medicine that was born in India 5,000 years ago.
The Sanskrit word is made up of two terms: Ayus, life; Veda, right. This means the science or wisdom of life.
This medical system seeks to connect the mind, body and spirit to live longer in a healthy way. It goes beyond the disease, therefore, it treats health as a whole, therefore, there is not a treatment for each ailment. There is a concrete study of each person and based on that a specific treatment is given.
Ayurvedic medicine explains the world from three principles or also called Doshas , physical and emotional characteristics of each person such as their constitution, appetite, energy levels and character.
1.Vatta:
It is related to air and space. It focuses on actions such as chewing, nerve impulses, breathing, thoughts, menstruation, urination, and muscle and bowel movements.
In terms of constitution, Vatta people tend to be skinny, have dry skin and insomnia. They are identified by their creativity, but also by their nervousness.
2. Pitta:
This principle refers to the possibilities of fire and water, especially transformation. The Pitta dosha is aware of digestion, metabolism, temperature, comprehension, and sensory perception.
The constitution of Pitta people is medium, they tend to have a good appetite, be intelligent and irritable.
3.Kapha:
It is made up of earth and water, it is responsible for stability, the skeleton and fat or lipid molecules. Kapha people tend to be overweight, calm and methodical.
We all have the three doshas, but there will always be one more dominant in our lives, the goal is to keep them in balance for good health.
To achieve this, we have various options that range from making changes in daily activities, having a diet that is in accordance with our Ayurvedic constitution, managing stress, meditating, practicing yoga, to techniques such as phytotherapy (herbal remedies) or massages. oil therapeutics.
Among the main benefits of Ayurveda is the control of cholesterol levels and blood pressure, the reduction of inflammation through the treatment of the cardiovascular and digestive systems.
It also allows you to purify the body with the use of medicinal plants, infusions and rest.
If you want to keep your weight in shape, it can help you a lot because it allows you to create a personalized diet. In addition to having different therapies to have healthy skin, combat insomnia, promote hormonal balance, Ayurvedic medicine will help you combat stress and anxiety, which are connected to all aspects of your health.
